A Treatise on Barbarians

Words by erudite personalities are seldom hypothesis and the adage “you have entered this world alone, so you leave it alone” is a dogma from my perspective.

The world in which we live is full of people who are beyond doubt grave egotists. Being self-centered is the only prized possession of their life. They are not what they appear from outside. Inside their hearts resides an unending quest to deceive others and accomplish their aims. They pretend as if they care for you, but the story on the other side of the coin is contradictory. No one live for others. Some people do live, but that is what we comprehend. The ultimate motive is to wait and watch till a time comes when they have reaped enough benefits from others. I want to ask one question- why do you expect that the person would waste his life to save precious moments of your life? You can never trust them. Although, we have come far off from what we were during the primitive age but we are no less than them- Barbaric and Savaged. There is no point in being an altruist. Its just a wastage of life and time too. Live for youself. Life is too short to live for oneself. So why make it shorter than ever? There is an old saying- “if you help others, God will bestow his blessings on you.” But in todays context, it would be like- “if you cannot help others, atleast don’t do harm to others, then surely God will bestow his blessings on you.”

Some people would not like to agree with the above philosophy but that means they have not been hit by an apocalypse yet and when finally they are, it would be too late and rest of their life goes into repenting.

To conclude, I would say things have changed drastically since the advent of civilization, but people are still the same- Barbaric, Self-centered and Uncivilized. The only difference being that now they don’t appear to be.
